Know what kind of room you are entering.

Each Talty Literary course or event should state whether it is recorded, whether replays are available, and whether private manuscript discussion is part of the session.

Are workshops recorded?

For manuscript workshops, live-only is usually the safest default. If a workshop is recorded, that should be disclosed before registration, and the course page should explain replay access and manuscript-discussion boundaries.

Are public events recorded?

Some lectures, readings, author conversations, and reader events may be recorded if the speaker agreement, event format, and participant notice allow it.

Can participants record sessions?

Participants should not record, redistribute, summarize, or upload private class sessions, peer manuscripts, instructor materials, chat transcripts, or recordings without written permission.

How does this connect to AI?

Participants may not upload peer drafts, instructor materials, private class materials, recordings, transcripts, or chat to AI tools. See the AI & Manuscript Policy.

What should course pages say?

  • Recorded or live-only.
  • Replay availability and duration.
  • Whether manuscript discussion is included.
  • Who can access materials.
  • What participants may not share or upload.
